New Facility Development

reworld_425x275
The need for sustainable waste solutions will only grow in the coming years. Reworld™ is committed to meet this demand by bringing our solutions to new regions to better serve companies and communities. Our development program is centered on two types of facilities: Materials Processing Facilities (MPFs) and Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities (TTFs).

What giving back looks like at Reworld™

By supporting environmental education, participating in local programs and volunteering in neighborhoods across the U.S. and Canada, we’re dedicated to making a difference day to day.

Materials Processing Facilities (MPFs)

Reworld™ has launched an ambitious initiative to develop and construct new Materials Processing Facilities (MPFs) across North America to bring our sustainable waste solutions closer to customers. At our MPFs, we accept and treat non-hazardous waste and wastewater to prepare it for reuse, recycling or energy recovery.

Our development process includes:

  • Identifying appropriate markets and locations for MPFs
  • Acquisition of property and buildings
  • Design, engineering, construction and maintenance of facilities, with a focus on:
    • Zero waste-to-landfill solutions
    • Wastewater treatment systems
    • Alternative engineered fuel (AEF) creation
    • Waste solidification

Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities (TTFs)

Reworld™ helps communities and businesses meet their sustainability goals by converting unrecyclable waste into energy. We develop, build, upgrade and expand Thermomechanical Treatment Facilities (TTFs) in conjunction with forward-thinking municipalities to help turn waste into a resource:

  • Architectural design of TTF structures
  • Design and engineering of TTF processes, including:
    • Thermal treatment of waste (waste-to-energy)
    • Power and steam distribution
    • Emissions control
    • Recycling and reuse of water
  • Construction, commissioning and maintenance of facilities
